Zlatuše Novotná received her doctoral degree from University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Science in Brno and Diploma in marketing and strategic business planning from Czech Institute of Marketing in Prague. She gained 15 years of her professional experience in commercial sector both in international and Czech companies as business consultant, exploitation director and EU competence team leader.
She has been involved in the EU research projects since 2002. In 2007 she joined Masaryk University and extended her expertise to academic sector. During her career, she prepared and implemented dozens of projects for both Framework Programme and Structural Funds including the project of CEITEC – Central European Institute of Technology. She was also member of Internationalization group within the Regional Innovation Strategy of South Moravia. Between 2011 – 2016 she succeeded to establish a professional Grant Office at CEITEC MU that manages a large project portfolio including big institutional projects important for the sustainability of the institute. In 2016 she accepted a senior position within the Director´s Office in the field of strategic and international relations.
Dr. Novotná is an expert of the European Commission specialized in synergies of the European Structural and Investment Funds and Horizon2020 and since 2018 she is coordinator of the European Alliance for Life Sciences (Alliance4Life).
