Ylva Reisnert is an EU research and innovation policy advisor at Region Skåne, the regional authority of the southernmost region of Sweden. Her responsibilities include promoting and supporting Skåne’s interests as a competitive and innovative region with a high growth potential, involving academia, enterprises and public sector. She is currently based at the region’s European Office in Brussels where she advises the regional authority, politicians and stakeholders, including universities and research infrastructures, on EU research policy, EU funding and cross border cooperation. She is also actively contributing to EU policy discussions in Brussels via the European Regions for Research and Innovation Network (ERRIN) and has participated in European Commission ERA Stakeholder Platform Doers group on Long Term Sustainability of Research Infrastructures. She has a background as a consultant with almost a decade of experience from the Brussels policy environment. She holds a master’s degree in Business Law with European orientation from the University of Linköping in Sweden.
