Dr Tomaž Boh is currently State Secretary at theMinistry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia (MIZS). He has been at theministry since 2009, initially as Head of Unit of the Science Division at the Science Directorate. Before his employment at the Ministry, he was working at the Slovenian Research Agency, being responsible for preparing analyses in the area of scientific and research policy. In so doing, he monitored indicators of research and development policy and carried out a number of other important tasks. In 2006 and 2007, he was advisor to the director at the Information Sciences Institute in Maribor, Slovenia. Dr Boh has devoted his life to science and research policy, as he enrolled as a young researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana, where he also held an assistant role in several study programmes.
